Thanks so much! The feedback has been great, really great, from teachers, student
and parents.
I know when students take the time to email me in the summer about how great the new site is that we've done something right.
You and your team have made a great product and your training/work was fantastic.

RWD has dramatically changed the nature of web publishing in Wolf Creek Public Schools.
We're moving towards what we term the democratization of web publishing. Instead of a single webmaster who struggles to keep up, we now can distribute web publishing to many people, yet still maintain the same look and feel, and the same corporate identity.
Our schools are about to experience the benefits of RWD, and soon individual teachers. Content is now updated much more frequently (including seasonal changes to the overall look) and the feedback has been very positive.
Thanks RWD!

Thank you for your support in getting North Lanarkshire school websites online. As the 4th largest education authority in Scotland we had been looking for effective Web development software to allow our schools to have a Web presence. I have been training teachers in how to create Web pages for seven years, using a variety of software, but no school websites ever appeared.....Until we began using RWD.
In the six months after we deployed our RWD server we saw over 50 schools begin to develop their own websites. Teachers who had previously considered themselves to have very poor ICT skills discovered that creating Web pages was as easy as making worksheets for their pupils, or sending an email.
The key to developing successful school websites was helping the "early adopters" through the initial design process, where they decided what colour schemes to use and the structure of the site. Once those were set it was easy for other teachers and pupils to make their contributions to the site.
Compared to any other Web publishing software we have used, RWD is by far the simplest for which to provide training and produces the most professional looking sites with the least ICT skill.
RWD is now a central part of all 170 North Lanarkshire Schools' development plans and is providing a valuable medium of communication between our schools and the community.

"Sweet Home Central School District spent a great deal of time reviewing and testing web content management systems to replace our older system. The last in the review process was RWD and after the terrific presentation by FirstClass Depot it was no contest. RWD is the PERFECT system for our teachers...easy to use and produces top notch, professional wep pages.
To date, the response from the teaching staff has been very positive because RWD takes away the fear of creating web pages with its template style format.
From the admin side, RWD makes training simple and in much less time than other web content management products. It is easily the most cost effective solution to our district's web presence and the customer support has been tremendous."

"Over the summer our school district reviewed a number of website content management systems to replace our legacy system. FirstClass Depot provided a top-notch demonstration of Rapid Web Designer's key features which made us confident it was the right system for our teachers and staff. RWD is very easy to use, with a simple drag-and-drop interface and rich editor that allows for a quick turn around of web page changes.
Best of all, we can ensure that all of our 30 school websites are able to customize their own look and feel while maintaining a District-standard layout. Once we decided to move forward with RWD, FirstClass Depot responded quickly to administer on-site training which had us up and running in a very short period of time. Thus far the response from our users has been exceptional. As our teachers see how easy it is to create and edit their own classroom websites, more and more are requesting access each day."

"RWD promised an easy solution to publishing, maintaining and managing websites. They delivered a system that works in our environment and is well suited for education. Teachers are excited about the potential of having their own websites for classroom content that look professional without having to learn HTML or web design. Our administration likes the fact that
every teacher page can adhere to standards and contain some centrally managed content. Because RWD operates entirely within FirstClass, we were able to leverage existing training and knowledge which resulted in cost savings."

"RWD has been the ideal solution for us. We're relatively new to FirstClass and know what it's like to introduce something new to the teaching staff. With RWD, teachers use a familiar interface - the FirstClass client - to create and manage their web pages. Teachers that would have been very unlikely to post web content are now doing so, much to the delight of their students and
their parents.
On the support side, it's a perfect solution for us. Content management could not be any easier. Even the staff members that know little HTML are now acting as webmasters. We have layers of redundancy so if one person leaves, someone else can step right in.
All of this has happened without any reduction in services elsewhere. We didn't add any staff either. RWD has simply enabled us to create and manage a complex web site with a few basic rules."
Jeff Johnson Tech Director Greendale School District
"My experiences with RWD began slowly but have picked up steam as I began helping others use it. It was the best way for me to become familiar and more comfortable. When I help others begin, they are resistant about the amount of time they are willing to spend creating their own web pages. They think they won't have time to do this and maintain their site. The same thing happened to me so I knew what was coming next. They start to have fun, and like what they see they have done easily, and soon they come back to me asking for more. I've also had some people mad at me because I was right when I told them they would get sucked into it and want to spend more time. All of a sudden they seem to have more time for this than they thought. It's all about what they want to make time for. They find it enjoyable so it's not the chore they
expected. Once things are set up, maintaining is pretty simple. I think another positive is that we can work on it at home or other locations. That works well for me too. We've had great support from one another when we get stuck and also from FirstClass Depot when we need it. I've always known there is someone out there to help."

"Rapid Web Designer allowed us to involve all members of our school in the creation of our website, and the ease with which it can be used lets us keep everything up to date. Teachers are able to maintain a syllabus, our nurse has links to websites for parents, and our parent association can keep everyone informed. We were quite surprised at how quickly we all became
proficient and what a cost effective solution it was! Thanks again."
Su Harris Head of School Harford Day School, Bel Air Maryland
"As the FirstClass Adminstrator, RWD makes my job manageable. I manage the presentation, content is handled by the people closest to it all in a collaborative environment (FirstClass) they are comfortable in."

"What impresses us the most about RWD as a district, is the simplicity of use for our instructional staff. Most people are very familiar with email, however not everyone is familiar with how to create a web site. RWD takes away all of that fear, angst, and the learning curve associated with making a web page. All teachers have to do is fill in a template, and the system
takes care of the rest. I truly believe that the partnership between RWD and FirstClass will revolutionise the way we communicate with parents."
Chris Bress, Director of Learning Through Technology, Charlotte County Public Schools, Port Charlotte FL

"SAU 16 administrators, teachers, and staff members have been using FirstClass for many years. We selected RWD because we believed that it would provide us with an easy to use web publishing tool that would be available to all staff members who use the FirstClass client. The results have been impressive. Initial reactions from teachers has been very positive. The training time required for using RWD is
short when compared to the training time required to use traditional WYSIWYG web editors. Teachers basically, type, drag and drop content or graphics into their web pages, save their work, and their website is live on the web! This is the perfect tool for making classroom resources available on the Web for students and parents."
